Latest Distribution - "A Great Success Story for our Disabled Veterans with New Donations"

The bulk of the donation was directly utilized by the New England Center for Homeless Veterans (www.nechv.org) in our store which provides clothing, personal health and hygiene products for our residents (300 men and women) and non-resident (>14,000) Clients at no cost. All shelves fully stocked and enough storage to keep them that way for months. Additionally as demonstrated below Clients graduating in New England Center for Homeless Veterans Transitional Programs are given a starter kit (when donations are available) to establish them in their new independent living situation.

Our in-house Health Care providers, Health Care for the Homeless utilized several pallets of medical supplies to help our homeless veterans.

One individual, for example, is Dennis.  Dennis was a Homeless U.S. Army  Veteran, he served his country honorably for six years, came upon hard times and became homeless.  On the eighth of August 2008 Dennis entered the New England Center for the Homeless Veterans.  Dennis was penniless, hungry, cold , unemployed and homeless.  Dennis followed the guidance of his Case Manager, addressed his issues systematically one-by-one.  Frequented the “store: (there is never a cost, not even a cash register) for his health and hygiene supplies as well as clothing, got a blanket and visited medical for his health needs.  When Dennis moved out into his own apartment, for the first time in many years, he was (and remains) employed, with him he had a van full of supplies/items to get him started; bandages, cold medicine, blanket, clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, etc.
